Our story

My boyfriend, Ben, was injured very badly on January 10th, 2025. That was and forever will be the worst day of my life. He ended up with a severe traumatic brain injury. Ben and I had been dating for 3 and a half years at the time of his injury, and now over 4 years. I always said Ben’s the one person I could be with 24/7 and never get tired of… my best friend. Ben went through an emergency surgery to save his life, he spent 2 months on life support, had 3 more brain surgeries, and has been doing rehabilitation ever since.

Ben’s injury has destroyed my happiness in a lot of ways… it’s still so painful. Some days the only hope I find is in the Lord, and His ability to heal. I decided to start THE 1700 simply because life is so precious, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
